Beautiful collection, really takes me back. I have most of these loose from my childhood. Thanks for the video👌
4:14 you mean the long gone casting headlight?
Awesome set.
Snake & mongoose variation cool too.
Bling bling
Wow what a year. I liked them all. Rollin EZ sent me.
I had this!
Awesome video. I got some 442 police cruisers and fire chief cars. Redlines and black walls. I have some of the cars you showed loose😎
Can you do a review of the Hotwheels Volcano Shoot Out playset?
Very nice collection. Hard to find 1968 customs with matching hoods.. When you brought out the magenta VW, I thought that was rare and then you really stepped it up with the hot pink one! I wanted to point out that your Camaro is in a regular shade of emerald green. Apple green came out in 1970 and you commonly see them on Porsche 917's and Swinging Wings from the same year. . Apple green is one of the tougher colors for the custom Eldorado which had a production run from 1968 through 1971.
Update. I’ve managed to get 10 vintage cars restored! Original cars from 1970 that I sourced new batteries and motors!
Ps get Mabuchi motors. Much better using a brand new motor rather than clean up these old ones
@davidgrahamscott yes, there used to be cases of them for sale. They are tough to find now. If you can find them, that is the better option.
I had this and the criss cross crash set. Good times with my lil brother.
Happy Hot Wheels Day.
Not for use with some cars? Why not?
Some cars are shaped differently, tall or skinny like dragsters that the booster won't grab. You are welcome to try all cars.
Mine require batteries.
Deep into Star Wars toys, this particular Christmas time, the toys I wanted the most were this and the Fisher-Price Alpha Probe shuttle. Being plastic and without really latching together, parts of the track wouldn't stay together or would bend and the cars would hit where they connected. It was fun and thrilling, though.
Mine is a cloverleaf.
My Criss Cross Crash track is a cloverleaf, not a Figure 8.
Mattel made this track set to compete with the Sizzler cars that refueled by plugging them into a charger that was shaped like a gas pump. The old style of this track set had the hand cranks that would gage how fast the cars traveled on the track. No batteries at all.
That's awesome David is on the box. Would be cool if it was on a Hot Bird version
They are awesome. I still have my 20th gold Combat Medic truck. Wish I had those
That is one cool set. The box is cool too. I have the 6 Golden Machines in nice condition and they are just beautiful. I wish I had the box, but sets with the box cost a lot. Like several hundred dollars. I need to find some way to display my set since I don't have the box. I'm thinking of getting a small polished wood box, put wood dividers in myself and then line it all with red felt. Any other ideas out there ?
What is the car in 2001 2002 2003 hotwheels cover?
I grew up on a block full of kids in the seventies in Chicago, and the fire eater was hands down a true favorite.
I never saw sizzlers 11
Esos sí eran verdaderos castings😮
Ford f150 red on fire ?
Pontiac Banshe IV 1989 I have thats but not now 😢
Blue Hot loose near mint like yours seems to be around $100, brown $400+
They’re so expensive because I started collecting them again. Everything I collect goes up right about the time I want it.
Super cool ses top😊
Cool hot wheels top😊
Super hot wheels cool😊
Managed to find a new rechargeable battery that works the motor but it runs really slow. Found a Sizzlers knock off from 20 years ago and might remove bits from it to get old car working.
I’m here because I just ordered the cars for this on eBay some of the sets they have are missing pieces of the track and some are missing the cars so I ordered the cars and now I just have to find a complete track and launcher I had so much fun with this as a kid
I still never found a good launcher. The foam is always too degraded to launch the cars. Good luck 👍
@@dmelzinga would there be a way to restore it? If I was to find just the right type of foam
@@jaredharris1970 maybe a pool noodle but it would be more better than those d battery ones wed go thru like 10 of them in a good play day on the supercharger
I have all three olds redlines plus a Blackwall olds staff car. 👍
Super cool top hot wheels 😊
Super cool hot wheels top😊
👍🇨🇵
Awesome! Thanks for the tutorial. I wish I had known about this five years ago when I was trying to repair a couple of Stomper motors. I have some Re-issue Sizzlers and now I know what to do if they ever need internal restoration. Thanks again. I'm subscribing!
My favorite casting!!!❤
"promo sm"
There is a Real Rider Greased Gremlin, hard to find, made in Mexico.
Super cool😊
Just found your channel, Subbed. Nice vid.
I think in time all the 100% stuff will be valuable, its super cheep to pick up now, i think mostly due to the flood of cars Mattel dumped in the market and the ma-laze of the late 90s early 2000 era so many bad castings and silly tampos. but in time i think the quality of those cars will make them valuable. the other wave in the future will be the 2008-9 cars, the crash drastically cut back on sales of hotwheels and production was scaled back as everything was for years after the 08 crash. People just did not have money to spend on toys and collectors had to pull back as well. I always notice that when a big local collection comes up for sale its always late 90s to about 07-8 then it picks up about 12-13. just my productions only time will tell ! Nice work on your collection you have some really nice hard to find cars! You should be proud of our knowledge to, its impressive!
I just picked up a 442 fire chief at a toy convention. Like your content. You have a new subscriber.
New Sub - I am a fan of your content. This was a fun share, thank you.
These are the nerdy details i love about collecting hot wheels! You have an incredible collection! I've been lucky enough to find both a 1973 442 Cruiser and Staff Car at thrift stores. Actually, a lot of my rarest cars have come from thrift stores. I have goal to find a blue and brown Hot Bird at thift stores, i have most of the black versions by now. Found one of those Speed Machines Pintos at, you guessed it, a thrift store. Oh my goodness, a Mexico Spoiler Sport is a grail item of mine. Theyre like $600-800 i think now? I have managed to snag a CIPSA Hairy Hauler though, so i cant complain about my mexican HW luck. I still havent got a megaforce card, even though i find these super cool. I should remedy that. Preproduction/proto stuff is super cool. I've got the large-scale epoxy/resin window piece for Large Charge. Thanks for sharing these awesome pieces of hot wheels history!
Wow, very cool. I have actually never had any luck at the thrift stores in my area but flea markets and antique malls used to be good luck for me. That large Charge piece sounds really cool too.
